Here are the results from the PVtrib.com poll given December 4, 2008 regarding Congress voting on a bailout bill for the U.S. auto industry.
The question was: "The big 3 U.S. automakers are back in Congress for the second time asking for bailout loans that would total 18 billion dollars collectively. What do you think?"
Congress should give them the loans. There is too much of our country's industry and jobs at stake.: 12%
Bail them out, but only give them part of what their asking for until they produce better results.: 7%
Congress shouldn't bail them out. Badly managed companies shouldn't be a burden on taxpayers.: 28%
They should each file chapter 11, restructure and re-emerge as leaner, better run companies.: 52%
I have no opinion on the matter.: 1%
