Vets parade entries close Monday

The Bob Stump VA is accepting entry applications for the annual Veterans Day Parade scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The parade will be on the VA grounds so hospitalized Veterans may see the parade held in their honor. The theme of this year's parade is, "A Grateful Nation Salutes Vietnam Veterans."

Parade participants must furnish their own float or conveyance. There are nine categories with a first and second place trophy for each category except musical groups/bands. They will be given participant awards.

The categories are hospital entries by veterans; commercial/clubs; musical groups/bands; service and fraternal organizations; youth; floats; marching units; patriotic; and motorcycle units.

A Grand Marshall Trophy will be awarded for the entry that best fits the parade theme.

The entry form and rules may be obtained at the VA Voluntary Service Office, Bldg. 15, 500 Highway 89 N., Prescott, Ariz.

Entry forms must be returned no later than Oct. 15. For further information, call 776-6013.
