Annual Tour de PeeVee hits streets Saturday

The 10th annual Tour de Pee Vee takes place this Saturday, Sept. 22, starting a 7 a.m., with the half marathon, followed by the start of the 10K (7:15) and 5K (7:30) races and a 2-mile fun walk (8:30).

A Health Fair also will take place at the Town Center.

Drivers should be aware the race course encompasses parts of many arterial streets, among them Manley, Long Look, Main, Loos, Lakeshore, Tonto, Spouse and Lone Cactus. Hiker and bicycle alert: it also takes in part of the Iron King Trail. For more information, visit: tourdepeevee.com.

Runners and walkers still can re-register the night before the races, Friday, Sept. 21, from 5- 8 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Prescott Valley. Register on race day between 5:30-6:45 a.m. at the start/finish area on Main St., near the east arch of the Town Center (between Fuddruckers and the PV Chamber of Commerce).
