The Yavapai Cowbelles have awarded scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic school year to two 2014 high school graduates and two continuing college students who are Yavapai County residents.

Molly Kennedy of Dewey will be attending Yavapai College in Prescott as a freshman/sophomore majoring in Business with a minor in Sales and Marketing.

Madalyn Zambrano of Chino Valley will be attending the University of Arizona at Tucson as a freshman, majoring in Agricultural Business Managements with a minor in Animal Science.

Allie Jane Boaz of Prescott will attend Northern Arizona University graduate school in Flagstaff working toward a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

Abby Boaz of Prescott will attend Arizona State University at Tempe as a sophomore majoring in Construction Management with a minor in Sustainability.

The Yavapai Cowbelles raise funds for their scholarships through their Brand Quilt raffle. Tickets for this year's Brand Quilt may be purchased from any Cowbelle member and participation in this raffle is greatly appreciated. The tickets are on sale through the day of the drawing every year at the Yavapai Cattle Growers' Association's annual Calf Sale and Barbecue at Maughan Ranch West Fork in Peeples Valley. This year it will be on Sept. 27. For more information, call 928-427-9530.
