Cara Rainwater thanks her father, Emoji David Petrak:
Thank you, dad, for being there for me, no matter what the situation may be. And for teaching me what it meant when I would "ASSUME."
Thank you for giving me choices in life and letting me learn from my mistakes. Like you always said, "You have two choices for dinner - take it or leave it."
I will always be a Daddy's girl and I will always love you.
Carolyn Jabour admires her father's strength while facing life's challenges, in a tribute to Charles Jabour:
Dad's courage, faith, and selflessness sustained him through a lifetime of battles.
First, the loss of Dad's precious little sister when he was 10. A few years later, Dad lost his adored older brother.
Dad faced the literal battles of World War II, always grateful God brought him home safely.
More recently, the loss of a daughter wracked him with grief. Dad's faith persevered again.
Last year, knowing the tumor he had was inoperable, Dad said simply, "You have to take care of Mom," his wife of 66 years.
Selfless, courageous, faithful. That's my special Dad, Charles Jabour. Loved forever.
