Carol Beard places her hand on daughter, Serena's, shoulder as parents take a pledge to support their children and to be a good role model "in showing that bullying will not be tolerated and is an unacceptable behavior* at Saturday's Stomping Out Bullying Rally at Glassford Hill Middle School.
More than 100 parents and students showed up with banners, including this one created by Gail Sharp. Students also took a pledge stating "We believe that no student deserves to be bullied, and that every student regardless of race, color, religion, nationality, size, gender, popularity, athletic, academic or social ability or intelligence has the right to feel safe, secure and respected."
