Special to the Tribune

The Prescott Valley School's Youth Chamber volunteer club has created a Career Information Center for its graduating students.

The center features a bulletin board and resource materials room. The PVS Youth Chamber brainstormed ideas to develop this student-friendly concept. They were led by their Executive Officers Jasmine Morales, Haley Tury, Geoffrey Voss, Cherish Gipson, and Aaryn Smith.

The Center offers testing information on SAT, PSAT, and ACT, as well as, FAFSA procedures.

Current scholarship postings and applications are available. Brochures on campus tours are posted, as well as military recruiting information and flyers. Also, there is a wealth of information on possible careers, including the innovative JTED programs available through PVS such as welding, auto, aviation, and culinary arts. Call for more information on these programs.

The PVS Youth Chamber believes that today's high school graduates need more than a diploma from a great school. They need further training and planning for a rewarding career. They have dedicated this Career Center to that goal. For more information about the Prescott Valley School, a free K-12 charter school located at 9500 Lorna Lane, call 928-772-8744.
