Support seniors at WYGC/CakeWorks brunch

The West Yavapai Guidance Clinic Foundation and CakeWorks Library Cafe, located in the Prescott Valley Library, will be honoring the senior population with a brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Proceeds from the brunch will benefit the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic's Senior Peer program.

Today, the challenges facing the local elder population are growing, and the Senior Peer Program is designed to help meet those challenges effectively.

The program uses peer-to-peer support from seniors for seniors who are experiencing difficulties with isolation, chronic health conditions, stress, loss of a spouse and more.

The Senior Peer Program services are free and include a variety of techniques to meet the each individual's needs.

This is a great opportunity to learn how WYGC's Senior Peer Program can make a difference for you or someone you love.

Sign-up to volunteer as a senior peer, and/or help raise money for a worthy cause by having brunch.

Families, friends and neighbors are invited to come to CakeWorks Library Café to enjoy great food and coffee, while celebrating seniors.

Brunch will include waffle bar menu and bottomless beverage, $8.50 for adults, and $6.50 for seniors and children.

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are preferred.

Please RSVP by calling Tina Blake at 928-308-9651 or e-mailing t.blake@wygc.org.
