|Holiday activities at Dewey-Humboldt Library start Saturday|
|The Dewey-Humboldt Town Library hosts the U.S. Fans of U.K. Entertainment celebrating the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, with a showing of the 50th anniversary special itself.|
Also on Saturday, a Christmas Ornament Craft for children of all ages takes place from 10-11:45 a.m. Kids will create their own Christmas ornaments to hang on the library's Christmas tree and also to take home for their own trees. Refreshments provided. Bring the whole family down for this festive craft.
E-Readers and Tablets is a hands-on seminar taking place from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Learn about the various devices that are available from different manufacturers and which one might best fit you or someone else for a gift. Several different devices will be on hand to try.

Auditions for Death by Dessert
Auditions for actors ages 16 and up for the Lonesome Valley Playhouse production, "Death By Dessert," will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, in Stepping Stones Meeting Room 2, 6719 E. 2nd Street in Prescott Valley.
The play is a murder mystery involving two feuding Italian restaurateurs and their families and will be performed as dinner theater, to benefit Lonesome Valley Playhouse and Lonesome Valley Children's Theater.
Rehearsals start Jan. 21, 2014, with performances Feb. 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22. For more information call Clyde, 928-583-4684.
Free Christmas concert celebration and nativity display
The public is invited to attend a free Christmas concert and singing celebration hosted by the Prescott Valley Arizona Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This musical celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in the LDS Stake Center chapel at 7073 Pronghorn Ranch Parkway in Prescott Valley near the intersection of Highway 89A and Viewpoint Drive.
The program will include a choir under the direction of Glynnis Miller and Dr. Dee Wilkins, accompanied by a musical ensemble made up of piano, organ, harp, vibraphone, brass, woodwinds and strings.
The public will be invited join the choir in the singing of traditional Christmas carols.
Come early at 6:30 p.m. or stay after the concert to view a spectacular gallery of nativity scenes on display from around the world. Holiday cookies will be served.
Pronghorn craft sale on Dec. 14
The second annual Pronghorn Ranch Clubhouse Community Craft Show takes place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the clubhouse, 7051 N. Antelope Meadows Drive, off Viewpoint and 89A.
Local artisians offer handcrafted jewelry, woodwork, framed art, quilts, aprons, purses, housewares, rustic shabby items, coaster sets, wearable crafts, signs, coat racks birdhouses, teddy bears, paper crafts, and stocking stuffers.

Prescott Jazz Society's Christmas Program
On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Prescott Jazz Society will present a Christmas Program from noon - 1 p.m. in the 1st Congregational Church at 216 E. Gurley St., Prescott. The program will feature international vocalist CLAIRDEE with the Ken French Trio and is free and open to the public as space permits. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.

Pain Support Meeting in Cottonwood
Fibromyalgia/Arthritis/Other Pain Diseases Support Group is a peer meeting at which we share information about chronic pain, how it effects our lives, what we are doing or can do to help us minimize pain.
Our next meeting is on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon in Conference Room A at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood.
We are very fortunate to have Dr. Seth Black, N.M.D., as our guest speaker at this meeting. In his practice, Dr. Black focuses on fibromyalgia, chronic disease, chronic pain and weight loss with much success. He will share his protocol on fibromyalgia with us. You don't want to miss this meeting!
Please arrive before 10 a.m. so we can start on time for Dr. Black's presentation and answers to your questions.
Time permitting, we will then have sharing time. All pain sufferers, their caregivers, spouses, friends and neighbors are welcome. The hospital provides coffee, tea and water.
