Affinity RV employee receives leadership program scholarship
Ian Isley, service manager at Affinity RV Service Sales and Rentals in Prescott Valley, is the 2016 recipient of the Duane Spader Leadership Development Scholarship, according to a news release. The scholarship, valued at $14,875, will allow Isley to attend an 18-month Spader Leadership Development Program.

The word "green" assumes more than one meaning for Matt Hyde and Sarah Wertz of Run Rabbit Farm in Paulden.

Hyde and Wertz, both former classmates at Prescott College, are "green" at farming by themselves, and when it comes to selling at farmers markets. They only grow vegetables, which are green (and other colors).

Comfort Suites opened in Prescott Valley just before Christmas in 2008. Already it ranks ninth out of 529 franchises by the guest satisfaction index, qualifying it for a "Platinum" rating from Choice Hotels.

The index, from guest surveys, takes into account such as a patron's likelihood of returning, room cleanliness, and friendliness of staff.

After running Master's Touch Christian Charter Services and Tours from their home in Prescott Valley for nine years, Warren and Debby Micale relocated to a large, airy office on Second Street. With 12 full-time employees, the business definitely needed the space.

"We're the only locally owned and operated full-service charter and tour company in northern Arizona," Warren said.

Master's Touch offers both day trips, multi-day trips and extended tours, to destinations near and far in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Ultimate Automotive first certified Green Shop in Quad-Cities
PV auto shop owners Rose and Al Beseler received their Arizona Green Shop certificate from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality on Nov. 24.

Ultimate Automotive Repair is now one of only three certified Green Businesses in Northern Arizona, with the other two in Sedona and Camp Verde.

Rose said it was an Oprah Winfrey show that got her to thinking about the business.
