David Robinson owns Second Chance, an appropriate name for his business that features used furniture and appliances.
Robinson explained that he obtains his goods from storage unit auctions but is quick to explain that what people see on reality television about "storage wars" is not always what happens in real life.
He never really knows what he's going to get.
"It's not like TV," he said referencing the slew of amazing finds that can be had with a fistful of cash and script-driven drama.
"We don't typically find what they do, we're still looking for that gold nugget," Robinson said.
What the store does offer is a good selection of gently used items such as coffee tables, couches, dining room sets, bed frames, a gun case, a front-loading washing machine, full sets of dishes, books and much more.
In fact, many of the goods for sale not only look nice, but the prices are easy on the budget.
Robinson opened the store last month and don't be surprised to find excellent deals sitting just outside the door.
The store inventory changes just about every day, so bargain shoppers should visit often. Please note, it's not a donation drop off center, Robinson said.
"I enjoy this. It's always an adventure for me," Robinson said.
Second Chance is at 7485 E. 1st Street, Suite H. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
