Shoppers clamoring for fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade burgers and sausages, gluten-free foods and a trove of organic foods can stop waiting when the Sprouts Farmers Market in Prescott Valley opens at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4.

Sprouts is a grocery store reminiscent of an old-fashioned farmers market. According to its Website, specialty items feature with "mountains of fresh fruits and vegetables."

The new Prescott Valley store comes with sweets, deli, meat and seafood counters, beer, wine, gourmet cheeses, vitamins, supplements and a bakery. The deli will carry Boar's Head meats and cheeses and made-to-order sandwiches.

As an added bonus, the deli also will offer hand-rolled sushi. Patrons may enjoy soup and olive bars, a dairy case full of organic and regular products, aisles of natural remedies and plenty of herbal supplements.

According to its Website, Sprouts was named the No. 1 "hot retailer" by "Stores" magazine and became a public company traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market in 2013. The popular food retailer boasts 170 stores in nine states.

The Sprouts Farmers Market is located at 5645 E. State Route 69.
