Letter: Workers need a raise, just like everyone else in this country

I am compelled to write this letter as a mother and taxpayer. I will title it, "The Chosen Few."

Has anyone of importance checked out the school system? Why do the "Chosen Few" split bonuses? And why only "they" get raises, while the workers who feed the hundreds of children haven't even gotten the cost of living (raise) for the last seven years?

I have heard the complaints, the anger, and the frustration and to top it off, Mrs. Obama put in more work for them to eat healthy. Where do our leaders come in?

Get the workers a raise, don't just pocket the money. Too much talk and no action. Promises that are never kept, monies going out to help the other worlds, what about helping our home first and if, by chance, we have to print more money, do it!

Who and what? Where does the blame go? Surely not only the White House. McDonalds is making more money now than the school cafeteria workers. Check it out!
