Letter: Community came together to help one of its own

Editor:

I would like to thank all of those involved in the fundraising event last Saturday evening for Jackie Johnson. Under the circumstances it was a wonderful event.

The best thing about a small town is the fact that almost everybody gets involved.

The vendors, which are too many to recognize individually, the Posse that prepared and served the food, the American Legion Post 78 which furnished the location for the event, Chris Berry's band, and David Nystrom for collecting a lot of the gift certificates.

A special thanks to the auctioneer, Bob Green, for doing such a wonderful job auctioning off the "Menopause Candle" eight times and the wonderful people who purchased it, and the bids on all the other items.

I appreciate the family that we have in Dewey-Humboldt and thank you for all of your support in a time of need.

Mayor Terry Nolan

Dewey-Humboldt

Article comment by: David Nystrom, Nystrom For Mayor

It was a pleasure to participate in this event, along side Mayor Nolan and mayoral candidate Chris Berry. According to our auctioneer and fellow event organizer Bob Greene, we raised $4,575.
