I enjoy the pleasure of volunteering at the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. It's a real kick visiting with tourists and locals, helping them with their information needs and sending them along on their merry way.
Many of the visitors are considering relocating to Prescott Valley or have recently moved here.
To all our newcomers, I ask something of you: become members of our community. Don't just suck up resources, give something back. There are so many little ways to help keep our Town strong and moving forward, so that what we hand off to those who come after us, young and old, will be an even better place.

My family and I arrived in the valley, purchased a home, got involved with all school activities, coached a youth rec team and helped out the elderly in my neighborhood. What we recieved in exchange were knuckleheads in school picking on our child "the new kid", our car being brocken into, the employer that promised me work before moving out here going back on her word and to top it off identity theft. Call it bad luck I guess. Crime, drugs and poor leadership will be the downfall of your community.
