Bradshaw Bears tennis teams down Dysart's Demons

Bradshaw Mountain's tennis Bears swept Dysart, 9-0, on the road, while the girls took care of the Demons, 6-3, at home on Friday.

For the Bears' boys, No. 1 William Waidelich (6-4, 6-4), No. 2 Hunter Powell (6-0, 6-1), No. 3 Austin Powell (6-2, 6-0), No. 4 Macklin Walters (6-1, 6-0), No. 5 Sam Thibodeau (6-1, 6-1) and No. 6 Michael Gibbons (6-1, 6-0) won their singles matches.

In doubles, the No. 1 pair of Waidelich/Hunter Powell (8-2), No. 2 tandem of Austin Powell/Walters (8-3) and the No. 3 duo of Thibodeau/Gibbons (8-1) posted victories as well.

For the Lady Bears in singles, No. 1 Cassidy Ball (2-6, 6-7) and No. 3 Alyssa Turner (3-6, 1-6) lost. But No. 2 Malia Peraza (6-2, 6-1), No. 4 Sarah Hall (6-0, 6-3), No. 5 Becca Perry (6-0, 6-0) and No. 6 Brooke Peterson (6-2, 6-2) were victorious.

In doubles, the No. 1 pairing of Ball/Hall (8-5) and the No. 3 duo of Peraza/Andrelle Bobinsky (8-0) won, while the No. 2 tandem of Turner/Casandra Beswick lost, 8-6.

The ladies are at home this week, against Kingman tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. and Flagstaff Saturday at 11 a.m., while the gents travel to Kingman tomorrow and host Flagstaff at 1:30 p.m. Saturday following the ladies.
