Bradshaw Mtn. boys 51

Bullhead City Mohave 40

The Bears clinched the third and final seed into the Division 2, Section 1 tournament next week thanks to this 11-point win over Mohave in Prescott Valley Wednesday night.

"It was a really good effort, and I'm really proud of the boys," BMHS coach Doug Beilfuss said. "I'm extremely happy to extend the season."

Bradshaw trailed 10-7 at the end of the first period before pulling ahead 21-17 at halftime and 38-30 at the end of the third period en route to the victory.

On Senior Night, DJ Gonzales registered a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Trevor Judd followed with 12 points, while Gilbert Ibarra (8 points) and Brandon Taylor (7 points, 6 boards) also contributed.

Casey Huntley sparked the Bears defensively, as Cody Sharp, who had missed the last two months of the season due to injury, scored Bradshaw's final bucket of the game.

The Bears will conclude the regular season at Scottsdale Saguaro at 7 p.m. Friday.

BMHS (13-13 overall record, 4-2 in section) will then face rival and No. 2 seed Prescott High in the section semifinals at 7 p.m. next Wednesday. The winner of that game, scheduled at Sinagua Middle School in Flagstaff, will battle top-seeded Flagstaff High in the section championship next Saturday.
