The Bradshaw Mountain tennis gents followed this past Tuesday's 8-1 rout of the host Prescott Badgers with a repeat 8-1 home victory Monday afternoon.
In Prescott, No. 1 Max Miller battled back from a first set 4-6 loss to win the match, 7-6, 10-4.
Straight set wins went to No. 2 William Waidelich, 6-4, 6-1; No. 4 Austin Powell, 6-3, 6-0; No. 5 Hunter Powell, 6-3, 6-4; and No. 6 Daniel Schmuckler, 6-1, 6-4.
Kyle Jewell dominated the second set but lost his No. 3 match in 3 sets, 4-6, 6-1, 4-10.
Doubles victories came from Miller and Waidelich, 8-3; Jewell and Austin Powell, 8-3; and Joey Cilano and Hunter Powell, 8-5.
The home match with Prescott, rescheduled from this past Friday, yielded more of the same.
Miller and Waidelich took No. 1 doubles by the same score, 8-3. Jewell and Austin Powell romped 8-1 at No. 2; and at No. 3, Joey Cilano and Josh Miller pulled it out, 8-5.
At his home court Monday, Miller got down to business right away for a 6-2, 6-4 victory.
Waidelich also bettered his score, 6-1, 6-2, as did Austin Powell, 6-1, 6-0.
Hunter Powell had more of a battle, going three sets, 6-1, 6-7, 10-7, to get the win at No. 5.
Schmuckler's winning match score was 6-3, 6-3.
Jewell prepared for war at No. 3, taking the first set 6-1, but ultimately losing the skirmish 2-6, 6-10.
The Bears' 4-match home stand continues today against Mingus. Tuesday, Kingman comes to Prescott Valley. Match play begins at 3:30 p.m.
