The Bradshaw Mountain Lady Bears ascended to No. 2 in AIA Div. II basketball power point rankings with their 18th straight victory this past Friday. Bradshaw, 10-0 on the chart and 18-1 overall, lost only its season opener, to Tucson Catalina Foothills (now 7-2 at No. 22).

The most recent triumph, 41-36 over the Lady Badgers, was the Lady Bears' second over Prescott in less than two weeks in their cross-town rival's dome. Prescott (9-3) is No. 12 after the loss.

Kylie Morris led Bradshaw's offense with 19 points. Dacie Clark contributed 9 and Kirsten Smith, 7.

Tuesday, Bradshaw played rude host to Camp Verde with a 41-26 win.

Although the Lady Bears led 12-5 after the first quarter, the Cowboys narrowed the gap to 18-15 by halftime. But even after a 26-23 third quarter, Bradshaw cruised to victory.

Angie Banks was offensive leader with 11 points and 3 assists. Morris paced defensively with 11 rebounds to go with her 7 points.

Clark contributed 9 points and a blocked shot, while Ashlie Dowdy added 8 points, and Jessica Olivas managed 5 points - including a 3-pointer - and 3 steals.

Bradshaw played at Kingman yesterday after the Tribune's press time.

The Badgers and Bears face off once again at 7 p.m. Friday in Bradshaw's Gary Kunow Memorial Gym in Prescott Valley.
