The Bradshaw Mountain Bears scored a safety and a field goal in Friday's 27-5 football loss to Barry Goldwater's Bulldogs in Prescott Valley.

The Bulldogs scored a 4-yard touchdown just 1:22 into the game. They added a field goal less than two minutes off the clock later, shortly after recovering a Bradshaw fumble.

The Bears fell on a Goldwater fumble in the end zone for a safety to get on the scoreboard.

Goldwater added another field goal to make it 13-2 as the first quarter ended.

After a scoreless second quarter, Augie Espinoza's 25-yard kick was good for a Bradshaw field goal in the third, narrowing the gap to 13-5.

But the Bulldogs scored a pair of unanswered TDs before the fourth, quickly going up 27-5.

Defense dominated the final quarter, with neither team able to add to their point totals, but Goldwater snapped a 6-game slide for just its second win of the season.

The Bears suffered four fumbles and an interception on the night.

Damian Otero rushed for 26 yards and got 29 yards receiving.

Div. II Bradshaw (3-6) travels to Anthem Boulder Creek (5-3) to take on the Div. I's No. 16-ranked Jaguars Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
