Yavapai youth select soccer teams schedule tryouts

Yavapai Soccer’s 02B Yavapai Roughriders took first place in Bracket B at the annual Yavapai Cup Soccer Tournament. The young team scored 12 goals, conceded 4 goals and went undefeated during its 4-game weekend. “I would like to congratulate this group of boys and their parents for their commitment to the sport,” said head coach Craig Hacker. “A year-round sport is not easy for parents or players and it is wonderful to see the hard work from all. Yavapai Soccer tryouts for its competitive select youth teams take place May 1-3 at Mountain Valley Park Pavilion Field.

Ages 8-12 are invited to try out from 5:30 - 7 p.m. on May 1 and 2, and from 9-11 a.m. on May 3. Ages 13-17 will try out from 7 - 8:30 p.m. on May 1 and 2, and from 9 - 11 a.m. on May 3.

Yavapai Soccer competitive teams play year round in games and tournaments around the state. Yavapai Soccer 99B won the 3 v. 3 March Madness Tournament in Phoenix in March and Yavapai Soccer 02B won the Yavapai Cup Tournament in the Prescott just two weeks ago.
