Bradshaw Mountain High's First Annual Alumni Basketball Game showed that despite a few years and a few pounds, once a Bear, always a Bear.

Action was fast and furious - except when, as announcer George Ponte pointed out, a serious gas shortage was occurring - but home court advantage prevailed for the "White" team players as they defeated the "Red" visitors 73-59. This despite 23 points, including a pair of slam dunks, and 8 rebounds from the Reds' Kellan Eckle (Class of 2000).

Of course, the Whites got 22 points, including five 3-pointers, from Javier Olivas (2011), 16 from Logan Chilton (2005) and 10 from the most senior member on the floor, Rick Bradshaw (1989).

Rounding out the White squad were: Ken Bartlett (2005), Keegan Chilton (2007), Jake Marcum (2011), and Nick Namany (2009).

Contributing to the Red team were: Zack Herman (2012), Christian Marcum (2010), Ryan Crosby (1996), Seth Heinbaugh (2006) and Erik Bruhn (2012).

Officials Scott Sloat and Paul Medlynn, for the most part, kept the contest under control while trying to contain their laughter.

The game wrapped up Bradshaw Mountain's annual 3-day Alvarez Tire Holiday Hoops Classic basketball tournament.
