The NJCAA's No. 2-ranked Yavapai Roughrider soccer team kept its unbeaten streak at the Prescott Valley Amphitheater intact Saturday night and in the process clinched the ACCAC crown - the 23rd since the program's inception in 1989 - with a 2-1 double overtime victory over Pima Community College.

The Aztecs scored midway through the first period and led 1-0 at the break. Nearly halfway through the second period and after the Roughriders had bombarded Pima's goalkeeper with almost 40 shots, Julien Dragomir equalized on an assist by Alex Harlley.

Strong defense by both clubs kept the nets empty through the remainder of regulation and the initial 10-minute overtime period.

With just over two minutes left in the second OT, after Jonathan Grant's shot was blocked, Dragomir caromed the ball into the net for the sudden death victory.

In 108 minutes of play, Yavapai netminder Danny Sellitti saved 7 shots on goal.

The Roughriders take a 19-1-0 overall and 18-1-0 league record into their final regular season game tomorrow at Arizona Western. Yavapai beat the Matadors 4-1 earlier this season.

With the conference title, the Roughriders earn a first round bye in the NJCAA Region I play-offs. They will play host to a second round opponent yet to be determined at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at Prescott Valley's Amphitheater in Mountain Valley Park, where Yavapai is 45-0-0 all-time.
