The CHL on Thursday released the official schedules for the two semifinal series', including the Arizona Sundogs against the Denver Cutthroats, which gets underway today.

Game 1 pitting the 2-seed Cutthroats and 8-seed Sundogs is tonight in Denver at 6 p.m. Arizona time. Game 2, also in Denver, follows on Saturday.

The series home format is 2-2-1-1-1, meaning after the two openers in Colorado, the series shifts to Arizona for Games 3 and 4. Game 3 will be at Tim's Toyota Center on Tuesday, April 22, at 6:35 p.m. Game 4 at Tim's is on Wednesday, April 23, at 6:35 p.m.

The final three semifinal games, if necessary, will alternate between the two cities. Game 5, on April 26, is in Denver; Game 6 on April 29, is in Prescott Valley; and Game 7 on May 1 would be back in Denver.

On the other side of the bracket, the 3-seed Allen Americans open up at home on Friday against the 5-seed Quad City Mallards. That series will be a 2-3-2 format.

The series' different best-of-7 home format is ostensibly due to available scheduling at each arena.

During the regular season, the Sundogs won seven of the 11 head-to-head matchups against Denver, but it was a very close series with seven of the contests being decided by one goal, and four games needing to be decided in overtime or a shootout.

CHL Most Valuable Player Garett Bembridge was the top scorer in the series with seven goals and 11 assists (18 points) in the 11 games he played. Arizona's Andrew Engelage, the CHL's Most Outstanding Goaltender, went 6-2 with a 2.34 goals against average and a .931 save percentage against Denver.
