Bradshaw Mountain volleyball's Lady Bears countered a season opening loss to Sedona in three straight games with a three-game victory over Camp Verde the following night.

The Sedona Lady Scorpions fended off their hosts 25-15, 25-18, 25-19 this past Wednesday in Prescott Valley.

Sedona never trailed in the first game.

Bradshaw scored first in the second game and pulled ahead 3-2 before relinquishing the lead. The Lady Bears kept it within three to six points throughout most of that game, but couldn't narrow the gap further.

Bradshaw again managed the first point of the third game, but Sedona matched them nearly point for point in a battle to end the match in straight games. The Lady Marauders built on a 13-12 lead and steadily widened the margin for the victory.

Kylie Morris led the Lady Bears with 7 kills, 4 blocks and 5 digs. Dacie Clark added 5 kills and blocked a shot.

Thursday, Bradshaw downed Camp Verde 25-9, 25-14, 28-26.

Morris again led the Lady Bears, with 4 blocks and 3 kills; Dacie Clark, 3 blocks, 4 kills; and Taryn Zelaya, 2 blocks 3 kills.

Bradshaw played at Prescott last night after the Tribune's press time.
