Jaye Lene Cornell and David Russell Long both of Prescott Valley were married Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Goldwater Lake in Prescott with Pastor Charles Owens officiating.
The bride is a 1978 graduate of Amarillo High School and 1981 graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology. She is currently employed at the Prescott Daily Courier.
The groom is a 1983 graduate of Mingus Union High School and 1990 graduate of Yavapai College. He is currently employed at StoneRidge Golf Course.
The bride wore a silver silk and sequined gown. The flowers were every shade of purple wildflowers with white roses. The groom was handsomely dressed in a black suit, silver/grey shirt with a purple tie.
The Maid of Honor was Britni McBryde, Best Man was Anthony Gordecki and the Flower Girls were Jade Lovin and Rebekah Andrews.
The groom was escorted and given away by his daughter, Donna. The bride was escorted by son Kyle, dressed in his U.S. Navy uniform carrying a picture of his brother, Travis, who was deployed to Iraq serving in the Army, as well as sons Jesse and Brandon and together they gave away their mother.
A picnic and merriment followed at the Ramada and included food, music and a triple chocolate wedding cake.
They honeymooned at Oak Creek Terrace Resort in Sedona and will be making Prescott Valley their home.
