The CASA Senior Center in Prescott Valley celebrated the birthdays of its members who have reached, passed, or will turn 90 years old this year at its annual Lifetime Member Celebration Lunch on April 9.

Betty Robinson, CASA executive director, photographed each honored guest for the CASA newsletter.

The oldest members present were two 97-year-olds, Ada Whitney and Paul Kaiser.

Whitney has lived in Prescott Valley since 1980 and served as CASA's vice president for several years. She lives independently in an apartment, and said she comes from a long line of relatives who lived into their 90s.

In spite of macular degenerative disease of her eyes, she continues to do artwork with the help of a magnifying glass.

Kaiser hails from Michigan and has been a Prescott Valley resident for 35 years. He receives Meals on Wheels through CASA, as he still lives independently with family members visiting regularly. Kaiser actually is 97-and-a-half, he said with a grin.

The Desert Rose Dancers provided entertainment for the luncheon.
