Update, 9 a.m.: Emily Moon was located this morning and she is safe, a news release from the Prescott Valley Police stated. This situation was resolved quickly in large part due to assistance from media outlets.

Sunday's report: The Prescott Valley Police Department is searching for a Chino Valley woman who left a Prescott Valley residence to buy cigarettes and never returned.

Prescott Valley Police spokesman Brandon Bonney said Emily Moon, 38, of Chino Valley, left the residence near Navajo and Yavapai Roads in Prescott Valley at about 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. She left personal items behind, leading residents to believe she would be returning soon. At this time family and friends have not heard from Moon and are concerned.

Moon is described as a white female, 5 foot 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. She was reportedly last seen wearing a white top, blue jeans and sneakers.

Moon has recently spent time in Flagstaff and lives in the Chino Valley area. She also has been known to hitchhike, police said.

Prescott Valley Police are asking anyone with information on Moon's whereabouts to call them at 928-772-9267 or call your local police department. Moon has been entered as a missing endangered person in NCIC.
