Special to the Tribune
Stephen Eric Massari, 35, of Prescott Valley was arrested on felony charges of three counts of sexual conduct with a minor on Friday after a teenage girl told Prescott Valley police that she had intercourse with him on two occasions, saw a separate incident with a younger girl, and Massari made incriminating statements about his involvement, Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Brandon Bonney said.
On June 19, officers received information that Massari had inappropriate contact with two teenage girls and began an investigation, Bonney said.
Witnesses told officers they saw Massari kissing a 16-year-old girl at his residence on Tower Road, and on another occasion Massari allegedly had two naked girls, ages 15 and 16, in his room, Bonney said.
Investigators identified the two girls and interviewed one who told them she had sexual intercourse with Massari on two occasions, and said she witnessed a separate incident involving a 15-year-old girl, Bonney said. The girl alleged that Massari provided alcohol during those incidents.
On Friday, investigators confronted Massari with the allegations, and he made incriminating statements about his possible involvement with the victim, Bonney said.
An officer booked Massari, a registered sex offender, into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of three felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor, and he remains in jail on a $150,000 bond, Bonney said.
Investigation ask anyone who may have had inappropriate contact with Massari or knows of someone who has to call Detective M. Hepperle at 928-772-5176.
