Police seek help in finding hit-and-run suspect with long gray hair
Prescott Valley Tribune

Prescott Valley police need the public's help in locating a woman driving a white Ford Ranger pickup who allegedly left the scene of a two-vehicle injury collision on eastbound Highway 69 in front of Sam's Club near Sundog Ranch Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Another driver saw the pickup rear-end a blue 2009 Chevrolet HHR, checked on both drivers in the collision and asked them to pull into the parking lot of Chase Bank, Prescott Valley Police Department Joseph Dunn said. The driver of the pickup acknowledged the witness and then fled the scene, turning northbound on Sundog Ranch Road toward the Home Depot area, Dunn said. The driver of the Chevrolet HHR was not seriously injured, he added.

Police described the pickup as a mid-1990s or early 2000 model Ford Ranger pickup with an extended cab. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage to the front bumper, grill area and possibly the headlight assembly area, which might show blue paint transfer, Dunn said, adding that there was a diamond-plated toolbox in the bed of the truck.

The driver of the hit-and-run vehicle is described as a white female, possibly in her mid-50s, with long gray hair.

Anyone with information about the pickup and the driver should call the Prescott Valley Police Department Traffic Division Corp. Mike Morris at 772-5132 or Sgt. Mark Postula at 772-5144.

So you give the color of the vehicle that got hit, but not the color of the truck we're supposed to be looking for? That makes no sense.
