PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - A man who Department of Public Safety officers said drove the wrong way on Fain Road near Lakeshore Drive Tuesday was arrested when he bailed out and ran, a DPS spokesman said.
John L. Shelton, 26, was charged with DUI, extreme DUI, and super-extreme DUI after he allegedly drove northbound in the southbound lanes of Fain Road at about 3:30 p.m., Carrick R. Cook, DPS spokesman said.
A witness followed Shelton as he exited at Lakeshore and drove into the neighborhood, Cook said.
The witness reported that Shelton was speeding and ignoring stop signs.
Shelton stopped at the intersection of Tonopah and Superstition and ran from the car, Cook said.
