Two men were flown to Flagstaff Medical Center Friday night after they were stabbed during a confrontation at the intersection of Addis and Viewpoint in Prescott Valley, Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Brandon Bonney said.
At 9:29 p.m., Prescott Valley police officers answered a call about a fight in progress and were told on their way that two victims at the scene had been stabbed.
When officers arrived they found two Prescott Valley men, 36 and 47 years of age, with stab wounds.
Central Yavapai Fire personnel treated the injured men at the scene and Native Air flew them to Flagstaff Medical Center for further treatment for their wounds.
The preliminary investigation indicates the two victims had vehicle trouble in the intersection, when a younger man and three women walked by the vehicle, and an altercation ensued.
It is alleged that an unknown male suspect stabbed the victims, then fled the scene with the women in what was described as a gray four-door sedan.
The only description of the suspect was that he was approximately 6-foot-1 or 6-foot-2, has a thin build, and is possibly white or Hispanic.
Both victims survived their injuries and the investigation is ongoing, Bonney said.
Prescott Valley police encourage anyone with information on this case to call Detective Hepperle at 928-772-5176 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
